Who thought the bottom of a block could be interesting?
This one is I assure you!
This is how the block was before assembly began. It
had been bored, honed and decked to exacting
standards.
Test fitting the high spec billet steel crankshaft.
Specially made studs are used to help hold the custom
bottom end together.
With the block now totally
refurbished and painted to a 'as new' condition
everything starts to take shape.
The R.I.P.S billet mains cap system uses more than sixty
fasteners in the design which not only provides incredible
strength but creates a work of art as well. It is
almost a shame to hide it away inside the engine!
